Our Family Vacation

For Christmas Justin took the family to Saint George for three days and nights. It was a big surprise (good job Justy for keeping it a secert for so long)! We ate out every night at places we don't have down in Kingman. It was so goooood to eat good food again! I think that I gained about 20 pounds! One of the things that the boys wanted to do the most was to go fishing. So we went to Quail Creek that is near St. George and fished for two days. The boys caught 8 fish the first day and 10 fish the second day. It was so cold that we only lasted about 2 hours each day but the boys had a blast.Clayton catching the biggest fish! Dad was right there to give advice and help.
Wade has no patience for fishing. He was running around, breaking sticks and throwing things at his little brother. So this fish was caught on Wade's pole but Clayton was watching the pole and helped reel in the fish. Great team effort!
This one Wade did catch on his own. He was so happy to be fishing again for about 2 minutes and then was bored with the whole thing again.Luke did really good for a 5 year old. He sat by his pole and waited patinetly for a fish to "eat his stinky cheese". He caught 4 fish total. Luke was so in love with his new friends that he wanted to bring them home and put the "Fishy Fish" into a bowl.
We met up with my grandparents for lunch at the Olive Garden. It is always so good to see them. My grandma always makes me laugh. She puts thing into perspective and is down to earth. But best of all she just laughs at my crazy boys and thinks that I am doing a great job at motherhood. That makes me love her even more.

The Alvey's Fun Christmas!

The boys were so excited that morning. I could hear them talking to each other at 5am. I had told them on Christmas Eve that if they came out of their rooms before 7 am they would loose a present each time that they came out. So exactly at 7am the boys ran into our room and said "Merry Christmas Mom and Dad!" It was so cute. Then we started our traditional treasure hunt for presents. It was fun for everyone!
Opening their presents from Grandma and Grandpa Alvey
Dawnie and Papa came to see us right before Christmas! We played games and had dinner.

Clayton's present from Santa was this Coast Guard Lego. He build the whole thing in about 1 hour! Crazy Smart Kid!
Wade and Luke got some Star Wars dress up clothes from Mom and Dad. They love switching from good and evil guys. They had a blast!

Luke's Surprise

I surprised Luke with a Christmas surprise. SANTA!! He was so excited as soon as he heard the bells jingling. Luke was the first to get in line and sit on his lap. Our ward had Santa come to our play group day at the church. So it worked out great for me. I was the best mom ever for a day!!

This is my Christmas sign that I made. Justin was wondering why I put my name on it! HAHAHA!

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving I found myself very grateful and blessed. I have both sets of grandparents that are still alive and well. I have taken for granted that they have always been there for me throughout my life and my children's lives too. I loved watching them interact with my boys. It brought back a lot of good memories from my childhood. I love my grandparents very much! We were also able to see Justin's grandma too. So this is the first trip that the boys were able to see ALL of their great-grandparents. I am also blessed with a kind and loving husband and 3 crazy wonderful boys! I hope that you all had a great holiday!!

This is in St. George on our way home. Yes that is SNOW!
These are my maternal grandparents Snookie and Papa Joe . (Sugar and Joseph to the boys)

These are my paternal grandparents, Grandma and Grandpa Curtis.
This lovely lady is Justin's maternal grandmother, Grandma Dean.

Luke's Birthday!

Today was Luke's 5th Birthday! I can't believe that my baby is now 5!!!! He went to school dressed up in his new cowboy hat and gun. Yes, I know that his pants are on backwards but that is just how he likes them. His teacher, Miss Cami, is so good about letting Luke come in whatever outfit he wants. We just laugh about what he will think of next to wear. After school Luke went to play at his best friend Trenton's house. They always have a blast together.
When his brothers got home from school it was time to open all of his presents. He was
so excited! He knows that there is money in those envelopes if he
can get them open fast enough. His big gift was an Indiana Jones whip that he has wanted for months now. For his birthday cake Luke picked out farm animal candles. They were really cute. He wanted to save them for next year too.
I love my little guy so much! Heavenly Father knew what he was doing when he sent me that little surprise. I have been so blessed with his sweet spirit! Happy Birthday Luke!

Halloween Fun!!!

I will have to say that this year's Halloween was very different for me. When my boys were younger I had to drag them around to each car while trying to keep their outfits clean and cute! It was a nightmare!! Well this year my boys let me know that they were all grown up and ready to do things on their own. I really thought that special moment would never come. Now that it has I want to go back in time!

We went to the Stake Center for the annual Trunk-or-Treat. Poor Wade had to miss school because he has a really bad viral infection. His whole body is covered with a rash so he looks like a lizard man. He isn't able to go to school for about 10 days or until his skin starts to peel off. I'm not looking forward to that part but the doctor says that he will be fine. I decided that it was fine for Wade to trick-or-treat as long as he stayed right by me. When Clay got home from school Wade had all the the costumes laid out and ready to go. When we got there Clay took off with his friends to go around as a group. That only left me TWO boys. I soon realized after we started walking Wade and Luke remember to have manners and say thank you without me having to remind them. I also didn't have to keep saying "stay by me" the whole night either. It was an eye opening experiance. The boys had alot of fun and got so much candy!

Wade and Luke are having a hard time choosing what they want to dress up as for Halloween. So they decided to try on every outfit we have to see what looks best. Clayton already has his costume ready to go. He is going to be The Joker (Jack Nickelson) from the first Batman movie. I think that my boys would look good in anything. Here are a few pictures from the Halloween fashion show. Enjoy! Also Luke wanted just a picture of him all alone. So I put one in just for him.

I found some old pictures of the boys on Halloween. I can't believe how fast they have grown. Now that they are getting older they all want to have the same theme. It use to be whatever I chose was just fine for them. But now they have to match. This year it is all Batman! So those pictures will come later. Enjoy!

Our Family Trip.

We had so much fun in Mesquite! I was able to go to the spa for a couple of hours and was in HEAVEN! The boys played for hours in the pool and got really tan in the process. Wade was able to open his presents that Grandma and Grandpa Alvey gave to him for his birthday. It was really nice just to get away.
